Long before a litter is ever planned, we spend countless hours evaluating health, temperament, structure, and pedigree. Responsible breeding begins with responsibility. Every pairing is carefully considered with one goal in mind:
To produce healthy, sound, well-rounded companions who will enrich the lives of the families who welcome them home. Because every puppy deserves an intentional beginning.

Welcoming New Life
​
The day puppies arrive is one we never take for granted. Every birth is a reminder of the incredible privilege we have been entrusted with. From their very first breath, each puppy receives individual attention, careful monitoring, and endless love.The first days are quiet, tender, and filled with countless little moments that become the foundation of a lifetime.

Growing With Confidence
​
As our puppies grow, so do their opportunities to learn. Each stage of development is met with age-appropriate experiences designed to build confidence, resilience, and curiosity. Through various Puppy Culture protocols and intentional enrichment, our puppies begin learning that the world is a safe and exciting place. They experience new sights, sounds, textures, people, and environments while always being encouraged at a pace that respects their individual development. We also attend Halifax Puppy Yoga for a few sessions to really help the pups explore connections with small groups of happy folks. Every experience has a purpose.

Building Life Skills
​
Learning extends far beyond playtime. Throughout their time with us, puppies begin developing the everyday skills that will help make the transition into family life smoother. These experiences include gentle handling, grooming introductions, introductions to crate training, potty training foundations, car rides, household routines, and confidence-building activities.
We aren't simply to raising puppies, we are preparing future companions.

Every Puppy Is An Individual

One of our favorite parts of raising a litter is watching each puppy become exactly who they were meant to be.
Some puppies are bold explorers.
Some quietly observe before joining the fun.
Some are natural comedians.
Others are gentle old souls.
No two puppies are alike. By spending countless hours with each litter, we come to know their unique personalities, strengths, and learning styles.

Thoughtful Evaluations
​
To better understand every puppy, we also work alongside professional trainers who complete individual temperament evaluations. Our evaluations are completed by Becky at BK9. Becky also has a specialized puppy program and offers a special rate to Coyote Creek Family members. Since she has already done a thorough evaluation on each of our puppies, she has already began the relationship and is ready to help you build yours.
These evaluations help us see each puppy through another experienced set of eyes and provide valuable insight into personality, confidence, recovery, motivation, and natural tendencies. Each puppy's evaluation will be included in his/her take personalized take home book.
Combined with our daily observations, they help us make one of the most important decisions of all: Finding the right family.
Going Home
Homecoming Day is one of the happiest—and most emotional—days of every litter.
For eight to nine weeks these puppies have been part of our daily lives. We've celebrated every milestone, laughed at every silly personality, and watched each one grow into the incredible little dog they were meant to become. Sending them home is bittersweet. We are excited for the life waiting ahead of them, but a little piece of our hearts leaves with every puppy.
Along with your puppy comes a thoughtfully prepared Welcome Home Package filled with resources, familiar comforts, and information to help make the transition as smooth as possible.

The story doesn't end when your puppy leaves Coyote Creek. In many ways, it is just beginning.
We treasure every update, every photograph, every funny story, every accomplishment, and every milestone our families choose to share with us.
Our alumni walks, continued support, grooming services, and lifelong relationships allow us the incredible privilege of watching these puppies grow into the dogs they were always meant to become. There is no greater gift than seeing a puppy we once held in our hands return years later—older, wiser, deeply loved, and still part of the Coyote Creek family.
Because while our puppies may leave our home... They never leave our hearts.
